INTRODUCTION
Sharing over 25 years of experience in wound care, spanning from Community Health, the initiation of a successful GP Wound Clinic in Coffs Harbour, Aged Care and private wound consultancy in the community. Currently working in the acute system as an inpatient wound consultant on the Mid-North Coast of Australia.
My passion is providing tailored education and hopefully inspiring others to take up this sometimes difficult, but ultimately rewarding role and improving not only knowledge but the practical translation to daily practice, incorporating associated skills and resourcefulness.
THE GOAL
I have had some amazing mentors along my journey and would like to think I can truly help others along the way too. I remain passionate about collaborative practice and education in wound care and believe it is the way forward, no more silos of care. Ultimately, helping educate clinicians and bringing us together, will help those patients with chronic and hard-to-heal wounds find their way to a healing journey.
This remains the greatest reward for any wound clinician. I feel lucky and blessed to feel passionate about my work and I love to share that passion and knowledge through my workshops and educational forums.
